Before the final Production stage of Mozarts „The Magic Flute“ and the first worldwide largescale scenic version of Beethovens 9. symphony in 2008, ART CONCERTS introduces a new production of CARMEN MONUMENTAL OPERA, George Bizet´s masterpiece, in 2007.
The legendary Production of CARMINA BURANA MONUMENTAL OPERA has inspired crowds and experts likewise for 12 years now and the traditional, though exeptionally contemporary AIDA MONUMENTAL OPERA is said to be the best privatly produced Aida. Concequently ART CONCERTS is going to present the CARMEN MONUMENTAL OPERA a tempting act of passion and freedom – stage managed by the turkish director YEKTA KARA . A long time intendant of the Opera of Istanbul and a well established factor in the european music theater.

Georges Bizet´s famous sounds merge with spectacular dancing scenes to form one of the most stunning Stage shows of the present. Grandiose mass scenes accompany Carmens fascinating erotics on her inevitable path to death.
With the CARMEN MONUMENTAL OPERA Art Concerts is going to break entirely new ground and Yekta Kara’s staging is going to be a cornerstone in many ways:
- CARMEN MONUMENTAL OPERA is the first international opera production, which is going to work with an animated large scale projection (25mx12m) and videoclips, interactions between screen and stage, as well as close ups of the stage events.
- Furthermore it is the first occidental CARMEN production, being staged by an islamic woman. (Yekta Kara)
- Moreover the CARMEN MONUMENTAL OPERA is the first CARMEN production touring three continents during it’s premiere year - America, Europe and Asia.
Supervised by the maestro WALTER HAUPT, who will make certain, that highest musical quality requirements are met, a 300 piece ensemble will gather, consisting of the famous LEMBERG PHILAMONIC ORCHESTRA, the NATIONAL CHOIR OF UKRAINE, one of the leading choires of Europe and a distinguished ballet and soloists who have been choosen in europe-wide auditions as outstanding representatives of the young generation. This production will be performable indoor (back to back) as well as Open Air for capacities from 4.000 up to 30.000 spectators.
